About Us
Matthew J. Cardellino is a seasoned, tenacious litigator with close to a decade experience in military law. Mr. Cardellino served on active duty as a US Navy JAG from 2014 through October 2021, before transitioning to the Reserve Component, where he currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander (O-4).
Mr. Cardellino received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to earning his law degree, Mr. Cardellino served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. A graduate of both Ranger School and the Army’s Airborne School, he deployed as a Platoon Leader with 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-08, where he received a Bronze Star for his efforts. Mr. Cardellino has also served with the 193rd Brigade (BDE AS-3) out of Ft. Jackson, SC, and the 1-111th Stryker Battalion (BN AS-3) out of Plymouth Meeting, PA. Mr. Cardellino received his J.D. in 2013 from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.
During his time as a Navy JAG, Mr. Cardellino developed significant experience representing Sailors, Marines, and Coastguardsmen accused of crimes. Never one to shy away from a fight, he consistently delivered dynamic and effective representation, securing multiple positive outcomes for his clients across the board. He also served as a Victims’ Legal Counsel on board Naval Station Norfolk, VA, representing victims of sexual assault and domestic violence in the military justice system, guiding them through a challenging process and helping to give them a voice. He is dedicated to continuing his legacy of steadfast service on behalf of clients, readily bringing his passion, energy, and discipline to bear on their behalf.
